Did you know that representatives from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Service Canada come to Ste Anne every month? They will be at the Province of Manitoba Bilingual Service Centre at 30 Dawson Road on July 15.

Bring your SIN and your government issued photo ID (driver’slicense or Manitoba Identification Card)

How can they help you?

The liaison from Canada Revenue Agency can help you with many things if you cannot access your own CRA My Account online:

  • Can help you get online: they can reset your credentials so you can get back online
  • Confirm or change your banking information for direct deposit of refunds and other benefits such as Canada Child Benefit and Canada Groceries & Essentials Benefit (CGES, formerly called the GST credit)
  • Change your mailing address
  • Confirm or change the email address CRA has on file
  • Change your settings so you get your Notice of Assessment by paper in the mail instead of only via online access

The representative from Service Canada (SC) can also help with many thing if you do not have online access to My Service Canada Account (MSCA)

  • Can help you get online so you can view and make changes to your own MSCA
  • Confirm or change your banking information for direct deposit
  • Confirm or change the email address SC has on file
  • Increase or reduce taxes on CPP and OAS
  • Help apply for CPP and OAS and GIS
  • Help apply for CPP disability
  • Canada Disability Benefit (new July 2025, up to $200 per month); they can help you apply
  • Canada Dental Care Plan, they can inquire about your eligibility, and help you apply, or renew you CDCP

These representatives also attend other communities and other dates in Ste Anne later this summer: July 29 at Lorette Curling Club, August 26 Ste Anne, September 16 in LaBroquerie at the HyLife Centre 22 Arena Street, September 23 Ste Anne. They are available 930am to 330pm and closed 12 to 1 pm.

For our clients, we can access your CRA account information and view a lot of information, but we cannot view as much information as the CRA representatives can: we cannot confirm or change your banking info;and we cannot confirm or change your email address; and we cannot change your option to receive your Notice of Assessment by Canada Post mail.

And we have no access to your Service Canada account, so cannot provide any info about CPP and OAS and GIS, although we can help with applications etc.

Canada Carbon Rebate CCR

Another reminder to file all your unfiled past tax returns before October 31 2026. The Canada Carbon Rebate will NOT be paid after October 31 for unfiled tax returns for years up to and including 2024. Make this your summer project! Get any unfiled tax returns completed regardless of whether you are expecting a refund or if you think you owe CRA. Otherwise, you are leaving money on the table. The CCR can be hundreds of dollars every year!
